We have extensive experience in corrosion science and material selection in environments such as seawater, oilfield and biomedical applications.
Corrosion prevention advice also forms an important part of our work, and we have experience in designing sacrificial cathodic protection systems as well as coating selection. We are also able to organise corrosion test programs to standards such as ASTM B117 salt spray and ASTM G48 and G38 (sour service) testing.
Our director Dr Clayton Thomas is a member of the Institute of Corrosion and has published a number of papers on Corrosion Fatigue and Stress Corrosion Cracking. In addition he also presented a paper at the Sheffield Metallurgical and Engineering Association (SMEA) annual conference in June 2001 on 'Corrosion Requirements for Oil and Gas Applications'.
